Research Spotlight

We are pleased to share our new publication in Microplastics, where we introduce an automated Attention Meta U‑Net framework capable of accurately detecting and quantifying fibrous microplastics directly from full membrane images. This approach overcomes the limitations of manual counting by delivering high‑precision measurements of fiber count, size, color, and mass even in complex, overlapping samples within seconds. Our work supports faster, more reliable environmental monitoring and provides a scalable pathway for textile sustainability and microplastic mitigation.
