Understanding microplastic shedding from textile manufacturing
Microplastic pollution has emerged as a significant environmental concern in recent years, with textiles identified as a major contributor. This review critically examines the latest literature published up to 2025 to elucidate the pathways through which microplastics are released from textile manufacturing processes into the environment.
Label-free liquid SERS platform for rapid biosensing
In a collaborative study between Myongji University and Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea, we investigated the relationship between the areal density of gold nanorods immobilized on graphene surfaces and their performance in bacterial detection using Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy. Furthermore, we quantitatively evaluated the SERS enhancement factor of the newly engineered substrate, demonstrating its potential for sensitive microbial sensing applications.
